Double-sided spring construction
BASILO is a double-sided spring mattress with H3 firmness. It combines pocket springs and Bonnell springs in a single construction. The manufacturer attributes surface elasticity and even pressure distribution to the Bonnell layer. The mattress is designed to be used on both sides, allowing it to be flipped regularly.
Coconut coir and latex layers
The spring system is surrounded by foam, natural felt, a coconut coir mat, and a latex foam slab. The felt separates the springs from the foam and reinforces the structural system. According to the manufacturer, the coconut coir mat supports air circulation as well as the absorption and drainage of moisture. The manufacturer describes the latex foam slab as flexible and resistant to deformation.
The foam used in the mattress is described by the manufacturer as anti-allergic. The documentation also points to an OEKO-TEX certificate and a hygienic certificate regarding this layer.
Form and everyday use
The cover is non-removable, which is worth considering when planning the protection and care of the mattress. The white cover of the presented variant features regular geometric quilting, and two cross-sections show an orderly arrangement of the layers. The rectangular form remains visually neutral and fits easily into a calm bedroom interior. The product is manufactured in Poland.
