VENI – an oak table in two forms
VENI OAK is an extendable dining table in an oak variant. In its basic setting, the tabletop has a circular outline. When extended, it creates an elongated surface finished with gentle curves. Changing the form is done using two separate extension leaves, allowing the extent of the extension to be adjusted in stages to match the current layout of the dining room.
Extension leaves stored under the tabletop
Both extension leaves have a designated space under the tabletop. To enlarge the table, the outer parts of the tabletop are pulled apart on slides, and the middle space is then filled with the leaves. Once they are stored away, the table returns to its compact, circular form. The design of the mechanism and the storage area for the components remain discreetly hidden under the usable surface.
Oak grain and black base
The surface features a naturally varied oak grain. On the circular parts, the pattern is arranged radially, while the leaves introduce a calmer grain direction in the middle section of the extended tabletop. The profiled edge tapers downwards, highlighting the layered line of the form. Underneath the tabletop is a central black base with several diagonally diverging arms. Its geometric layout contrasts with the soft outline of the tabletop.
